About Us

Our History -

The Catholic Fellowship was founded online via a social networking website on July 8, 2008.  The flagship group of The Catholic Fellowship is The Catholic Fellowship of NYC.  To learn more about The Catholic Fellowship of NYC, please click on the tab "NYC Group" above.

Five of the eight groups part of The Catholic Fellowship were also established online in August 2008 giving rise to our strategy, which we refer to as "online evangelization."  Given our explosive growth in membership, our various groups have established affiliation with key parishes in the greater NYC area in order to effectively carry out our young adult ministry, and to be part of a growing community.

Our Organization -

The Catholic Fellowship is comprised of nine groups, five of which serve Catholic young adults in a select geographic region in the greater NYC area, one of which is a professional ethnic group, one of which is a faith discussion group, and two of which are community action groups.  These groups are:

The Catholic Fellowship of NYC serves young adults in the five boroughs.  In the Archdiocese of New York, the group is affiliated with Immaculate Conception Church in the Bronx.  In the Diocese of Brooklyn, the group is affiliated with Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Astoria, Queens, Our Lady of the Snows Church in Floral Park, Queens and the Cathedral Basilica of St. James in Brooklyn.  The group serves as the young adult group of these four parishes.

The Catholic Fellowship of Connecticut serves young adults in the Diocese of Bridgeport (Fairfield County). The group is affiliated with The Church of the Assumption in Westport, CT.

The Catholic Fellowship of Westchester serves young adults who reside north of NYC.  In Westchester county, the group serves young adults in the Sound Shore community (i.e. Rye, Mamaroneck, Larchmont, New Rochelle and Pelham).  The home base of the group is Most Holy Trinity Church in Mamaroneck.  The group serves as the young adult group of this parish.

The Catholic Fellowship of Northern NJ serves young adults who reside in Hudson, Essex, Bergen and Union counties in Northern New Jersey.  This group also serves young adults who reside in neighboring Rockland county in New York.  In the Archdiocese of Newark, the group is affiliated with St. Anthony of Padua Church in Jersey City.

The Catholic Fellowship of Long Island serves young adults who reside in Nassau and Suffolk counties.  In the Diocese of Rockville Centre, the group has a home base at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Patchhogue (Upbeat Ministry - Catholic Fellowship) and The Newman Catholic Parish of C.W. Post Long Island University.  C.W. Post Long Island University has state of the art facilities to assist in our young adult ministry.  The group serves as the young adult group of these two parishes.

The Catholic Fellowship of Young Filipino Professionals serves young Catholic Filipino professionals who wish to network while professing their faith as well as celebrate their heritage and culture.  Although the group seeks to serve the large Filipino community in the greater NYC area, everyone is invited to participate.  In the Archdiocese of New York, the group has a home base at the Chapel of San Lorenzo Ruiz in Manhattan.

The Catholic Fellowship - Charities serves as the charity, volunteer, community service, and fundraising arm of The Catholic Fellowship.  This group also does lots of charity work for St. Patrick's Old Cathedral in Manhattan and St. Joseph & St. Michael Church in Union City where its group leader serves on various committees.

The NYC Pro-Life Group serves to promote the pro-life cause in the greater NYC area.

Suds & Spirituality Group seeks to preserve unity of the faith and fidelity to Catholic doctrine.  For more information on our speaker series, please visit us at www.sudsandspirituality.com
