This event is a good opportunity to volunteer your time, and to give back to the community. Our volunteer events draws a good crowd of young professionals, so the event also presents a good networking/social opportunity. We are looking for volunteers to help assemble food baskets and then distribute these baskets to the poor on Saturday July 17th starting at 9am. Spend time with Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. Every third Saturday of the month, Our Lady of Peace Church holds a Holy Hour before the Blessed Sacrament. The hour consists of prayers, exposition, and benediction, followed by the 12:10 P.M. Mass. [ details ]

Do unto others! The Gift of Love House needs 2 volunteers every Saturday, from 3:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. There are twelve men with AIDS who live in this house, which is run by the Missionaries of Charity. The work for the day consists of preparing dinner for the men, serving them, and cleaning up afterwards. The dinner usually consists of salad, chicken, and rice.
